Tubman Heating supporting Mahi Toa

Reilly Katene shares his journey into employment at Tubman Heating through a trades training apprenticeship scheme of Te Hoe Ākau. Mahi Toa provides on-going support and mentoring through the apprenticeship journey and contributes to Iwi vision and aspiration to increase the skill of Ngāti Toa Rangatahi.

Mahi Toa is not only a pathway for our youth but for businesses to grow their employee base with skilled and driven staff that feel encouraged and supported by their community and employer. Reilly has been able to go out on stand alone jobs after just 4 months, 2 months sooner than expected.
